Update time again.

I'm now just about as ready as I'm going to be for the Summer Incursion. In the end I decided to go back to Spearmen for the time being instead of Sea Guard which just meant I needed to get the new Archers I was adding to a basic level and do a few extra Sword Masters.

I've also built my first horde movement tray just in case the need to go wide arises with one of my units.

I'm not sure if I'll have a chance before the Incursion but I'm on leave the Monday following so hopefully I'll be able to get some army shots done and uploaded, along with some closer up pictures of the new stuff.

Typical. Was planning to try and magnetise the arms and bodies of my Dragon Princes, or at least the musician model, tonight. Took 20 minutes of searching to find my hobby drill and can't find my box of drill bits so I can't drill a hole of the right size.

Why the magnets? Seems excessive for the Princes. Are you having issues with bits snapping off and the like?

Steve

No. Was planning to make the command arms swappable so I can either run them plain or with command.

Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn.

Undercoated my Dragon Prince musician when I got home. Just did it outside the back door as it's a warm evening but the paint has done that annoying bobbly splodgy thing I had a while back when I undercoated in the cold. Not sure if the can being about done had anything to do with it.

Needless to say, this is a bit of a bummer, as I've never successfully resurected a plastic model that's had this happen to it. Wouldn't be so bad if this were some rank and file model I could stick in the back ranks where it can't be seen.

Get yourself along to the pound shop and buy a bottle of dettol. Submerge model for a few hours then scrub with toothbrush and it should remove the undercoat. Just make sure you don't introduce any water until you've scrubbed it pretty clean, adding watter just makes it turn all gungy and clog up the detail but not come off very easily. (he says from experience!)

Did that with Superdrug acetone-free nail varnish remover once... Either I had a bad bottle or it's not as free as stated as it destroyed all the plastics...

Is there any particular type of Detol you're using? The one I tried was the direct floor stuff (think that's what it's called) and doesn't seem to have had any effect whatsoever
